ABOUT ME

A Scottish designer focused on creating homeware and lifestyle products that are minimalist and represent the contemporary home, always looking to explore my heritage and how modern technology and materials can be used to create unique items.

After graduating university in 2017, I spent the following two years exploring how my graduate collection could fit into the contemporary design marketplace. Having manufactured my own range of ceramics I am now keen to explore a wider range of materials and disciplines, with an overarching focus on sustainability in each item created.I have always been interested in the ethics of the design industry and I want to ensure that my practice has a positive effect on the planet. It is now more important than ever to ensure that we look after ourselves and the environment in which we live.

At present I am working on a new collection of items, looking at contemporary lifestyle in all aspects in order to better understand how to design more ethically. In 2021 my aims are to further diversify my offering of products and create items that are ethically produced and built to last.

Alongside my own studio practice, I am always available to discuss external projects on a collaborative or consultancy basis. Should you have a project you would like to get in touch about, please contact me at info@scttcrawford.com to discuss things further.
